What are Ozlandish Writings?

From July 2010 to December 2014 we ran OZLAND PICTURE STORIES as described below. Sadly though the number of writers reduced over the years and we decided to call it a day. We leave these as a record of the good times we had.

Are "You" ready to challenge your writing skills? Then participate in our OZLAND Picture Stories writing series at The Ozland Art Gallery.

Each month a new picture will be picked, from our OZLAND Artist of the Month collection, with different themes. Your goal is to write a 500-1000 word... poem... essay... or story about the picture picked. This is a chance for you to challenge your writing skills each month. Story can be written in ANY genre... sci fi... romance... ghost... fantasy... fiction... non-fiction... biography... mystery... historical... whatever your writing genre... feel free to experiment. Send your writing inworld to Sven Pertelson as a notecard to have it included on the web site. We meet at the The Ozland Art Gallery each Wednesday at Noon and 6pm SLT to read the latest submissions on voice. More Information

The Crystal Journey - Lagu Indigo

Two mermaids swam in the deep lapis seas.  Their journey was a special journey to the land of crystal dreams. They had swam many oceans in search of this beautiful tale of wonder and myth.

Mer people have been visiting this special places for centuries, to insight their soul and spirit and connect to mer's that have been this way before them.

The moonstone moon shone like diamonds on the crystal clear sea, as they swam into a cove and emerged to a wondrous sight of beauty and crystal colours.  Emerald hills entwine with topaz mountains , that rose to a pink quartz lit sky.

They lowered themselves into a opal shining pool, which crystals surround and lit with rays of colour.  They felt healing energies surround their mer bodies and connect their souls and spirit to the mer's long past. Bringing memories to their mind of myths gone by.

Flower blooms of rose and jade ,swayed with the movements of the wind.  Covering the land like a jewelled carpet. A magnetic citrine crystal stands alone, upon a emerald floor, wise and remote, waiting for the magic to arise.

As the moonstone moon descends in to the distant night ,cities arise in the distance of bright coloured zincite rocks, and the dream becomes,a memory of legend.

As the two mermaids emerge from the pool of opal and swim quietly past the sleeping guardian dragon, returning into the lapis seas, memories of a myth gone by .
